We are but lovers lost in space
Searching for our saving grace.
Seeking a love that cannot compare
An infinite journey we both must bear.
And when you’ve found me amongst the stars
Worry not, for this sentiment is ours.
And dare we, perchance, one last affair
That is when I’ll meet you there.
*a list in progress
Fingers gently pulling through my hair.
Laughing at myself despite being laughed at.
Burrowing deep into already-warm sheets.
Finding a quote or song that perfectly compliments your mood.
Listening to thunder whilst lying safe in bed.
Getting lost in a good book.
The wonderful smell of freshly laundered clothing.
Catching your favorite movie on TV.
Your smell, even after a day at the gym.
Finding a shopping bargain.
Having hot chocolate when it’s cold outside.
Falling asleep to the sound of the rain outside.
Having your iPod shuffle to a song you’ve forgotten.
Passing by someone who gives you butterflies.
Staying in under the sheets when it’s raining out.
Catching your eye, even after all this time.
The satisfying sensation of cold water going down your throat when you’re really thirsty.
The feeling of petting a warm animal.
The world is ours, if you want it
We can take it, if you just take my hand
There’s no turning back now
Baby, try to understand.
I know you’re scared it’s wrong
Like you might make a mistake
But there’s just one life to live
And there’s no time to wait, to waste.
